Nomios UK & I
Lume Furniture exceeded our expectations by delivering a workspace that feels completely connected, even though it spans both an extension and a refurbished area. Their furniture strategy was not only visually strong but also thoughtfully future-proof and environmentally considerate. The end result has noticeably improved how our teams collaborate and made a real impact on workplace satisfaction.

Nomios UK&I: Crafting a Connected, Future-Ready Workspace
Basingstoke / Cybersecurity & Technology / 17 weeks / 12,000 sq ft
A transformation in motion
Nomios UK&I sought more than a simple office refresh — they envisioned a workspace that would unify teams, spark collaboration, and adapt seamlessly as the business grows. Their Basingstoke office underwent a full refurbishment alongside a new extension, all while remaining fully operational.
The ambition was clear: a cohesive, future-ready environment where furniture does more than fill space — it shapes experiences, reinforces brand identity, and embodies sustainability.
Furniture as the framework
At the heart of the design, Lume Furniture implemented a furniture-led strategy built on adaptability and circularity. Modular workstations and agile collaboration booths enable flexible layouts, while thoughtfully zoned areas define focus, social and collaborative spaces without the need for partitions.
Sustainability was embedded throughout. 18% of existing chairs and workstation frames were refurbished and reused, 35% of new soft seating featured recycled-content fabrics, and FSC-certified materials were specified wherever possible.
As Ben Avvinti, Lume Project Director, notes: “This project shows how a reuse-first furniture strategy can deliver sustainability, design cohesion, and long-term adaptability without compromise.”
A space that flows
The result is a harmonious environment where refurbished and new areas merge effortlessly. Modular systems are projected to reduce churn-related waste by 25% over three years, and teams quickly noticed enhanced collaboration, smoother workspace flow, and a renewed sense of connection — all achieved without a single day of operational downtime.
